I grew up on a dairy farm in a small rural community in Iowa and began writing in childhood. I later shifted my focus to business, earning a graduate degree in Marketing and Finance. My passion has always been writing, but the reality of paying rent and putting food on the table made me choose a different path. I climbed the corporate ladder, eventually serving as the CEO and president of two Fortune 500 companies before retiring to pursue my writing. Now, my wife and I divide our time between winters in Florida and summers in the North Carolina mountains. I feel that I have the best of both worlds, allowing me to continue doing what I should have been doing all my life.
